Das Portal des Auditoriums der
Georg-August-Universität in der Weender
Landstraße 1 in Göttingen schmücken vier Standbilder, wobei das am
weitesten rechts Stehende (wenn man davor steht) den Mathematiker und Philosophen
Gottfried
Wilhelm Leibniz darstellt.
Das Auditorium ist ein in den Jahren 1862 - 1865 durch Friedrich Doeltz errichteter Werksteinbau im Rundbogenstil. Die Skulpturen wurden von Karl Dopmeyer, Wilhelm Engelhard und Friedrich Küsthardt geschaffen.
Die Fotos wurden im Mai 2007 aufgenommen.
The portal of the so-called Auditorium of the
Georg August University located in the
Weender Landstraße 1 in Göttingen is decorated by four sculptures. When facing
the front of this building the one at most on the right represents the mathematician and
philosopher
Gottfried
Wilhelm Leibniz.
The Auditorium was built in the period 1862 - 1865 by Friedrich Doeltz, while the sculptures are created by Karl Dopmeyer, Wilhelm Engelhard and Friedrich Küsthardt.
