Das Denkmal von Sebastian Münster befindet sich vor der Sankt Remigiuskirche, die teilweise im Hintergrund zu sehen ist. Auf der Bodenplatte ist zu lesen:

Ferner sind zwei senkrecht aufeinander stehende Linien mit den Angaben
    geographische Länge 8° 3,5'
    geographische Breite 49° 58,5'
eingraviert.

Neben dem Eingang zum Kirchhof ist eine auf dieser Seite etwas weiter unten abgebildete Gedenktafel mit folgendem Text angebracht:

Offensichtlich steht die Angabe des Geburtsjahres im Widerspruch zu den Angaben am Denkmal und am Straßenschild.

Ferner gibt in Ingelheim noch eine Sebastian-Münster-Straße. Sie verläuft in dem Areal, auf dem die Pfalz Karls des Großen stand. Auf dem Bild des Straßenschilds (ganz unten auf dieser Seite) ist im Hintergrund die Apsis der wieder errichteten Saalkirche zu sehen. Die Erläuterungen beim Straßenschild besitzen den Wortlaut:

The monument for Sebastian Münster is located in front of the Saint Remigius church, which partially can be seen on the background (cf. the photograph on the top of this page). The metal plate on the ground contains the text, which sounds almost identical in German:

Moreover there are two orthogonal lines with the assigned attributes

    longitude 8° 3,5'

Beside the entrance nearby there is a commemorative plaque with some text, which certainly will be given now translated to English:

Obviously the year of birth is errorneous (cf. the monument above and the information provided under the street-sign).

There's also a street in Ingelheim named after Sebastian Münster. It runs on the area of the former palatinate of the emperor Charles the Great. On the picture below the apse of the rebuilt church Saalkirche can be seen in the background. The meaning of the hints under the street-sign is:
