Einer der zentralen Plätze in Vathi (Samos-Stadt) im Nordosten der Insel ist nach
Pythagoras
benannt. Es sind hier allerdings keine weiteren Relikte vorzufinden, die auf den
großen Sohn der Insel hinweisen. Der Platz ist unmittelbar an der
Küstenstraße gelegen und besitzt ein dominierendes Denkmal eines sitzenden
Löwen. Auf dem Bild unten ist halb links das Gebäude zu erkennen, in dem ein
deutsches Konsulat untergebracht ist.

But no more items may be found giving any hint on him. The place is directly located at
the coastal road. A monument of a sitting lion is the mainly decorating element of this
place. The image below shows also the building containing a German consular bureau somewhat
on the left.
