deutsch In der Methfesselstraße weist eine Gedenktafel darauf hin, dass Konrad Zuse hier seine ersten Rechner konstruierte.

Der genaue Wortlaut des Texts steht wie folgt wiedergegeben:

In den kriegszerstörten Häusern
Methfesselstraße 10 und 7
entwickelte und baute Konrad Zuse von 1936 bis 1944
die programm-gesteuerten Rechenanlagen Z1 bis Z4[.]
1941 ging der Rechner
ZUSE Z3
als erster funktionsfähiger Computer
der Welt in Betrieb[.]

Formal war Konrad Zuse kein Mathematiker, doch hat die Computertechnik neue mathematische Disziplinen generiert. Aus diesem Grunde ist es gerechtfertigt, K. Zuse in diese virtuelle Ausstellung aufzunehmen.

Das Foto wurde im Oktober 2006 aufgenommen. Da die Tafel jedoch zu diesem Zeitpunkt stark beschmiert war, wurde eine virtuelle Reinigung (Retusche) vorgenommen. Im Februar 2014 präsentiert sich die Tafel in idealem Zustand. Bewegt man den Mauszeiger auf das Foto, wird die neuere Aufnahme eingeblendet.

The text of the plaque reads as follows:

The dwelling houses Methfesselstraße 10 and 7
have been damaged during the 2nd world war.
In these houses Konrad Zuse developed and constructed
his foremost program controlled computers
Z1 up to Z4 in the years 1936 up to 1944.
In 1941 the first functioning computer
ZUSE Z3
put in operation.

The photograph was taken in October 2006. But it should be mentioned that the plaque was daubed at that time. Consistently the picture was virtually cleaned by a retouch. In February 2014 the plaque is in an ideal state. If you move the pointer device over the photograph the newer one will be displayed.
