Tafel zu J. und K. Kepler / Plaque for J. und K. Kepler

deutsch Auf dem Städtischen Friedhof Leonbergs nahe dem Eingang in der Seestraße ist eine Gedenktafel zu Katharina Kepler, geborene Guldenmann, zu finden, auf der auch der Mathematiker und Astronom Johannes Kepler erwähnt wird.

Der Text der Gedenktafel lautet wie folgt:

Gewidmet
dem Andenken
der
auf diesem Friedhof ruhenden
Mutter
des
Astronomen Kepler
Katharina geb[orene] Guldenmann
gestorben hier 13. April 1622.

Es muss aber darauf hingewiesen werden, dass J. Keplers Mutter nicht auf diesem Friedhof bestattet wurde (siehe [1, S. 107]).

Das Foto wurde im Juli 2008 aufgenommen.

english Near the entrance of the municipal cemetery of Leonberg in the street named Seestraße there is a tablet for Katharina Kepler, née Guldenmann. It also mentions the mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler.

The plaque shows some text which may be translated as follows:

Donated
in memoriam
of
the mother
of the
astronomer Kepler,
Katharina née Guldenmann.
[She] died here on April 13th, 1622
and is buried on this cemetery

It should be mentioned that J. Kepler's mother was not buried on this cemetery (cf. [1, p. 107]).

The photograph was taken in July 2008.
