Eine schmale Straße in der Altstadt von Madrid ist nach José Echegaray benannt. Bekannt ist er nicht als Mathematiker, sondern als Literat (Nobelpreis 1904) und Politiker geworden. Das Straßenschild ist aus Kacheln gestaltet.

Im Gebäude der spanischen Nationalbank (Banco de España) gibt es ein Monument ihn ehrend wie auch ein Gemälde, das ihn zeigt. Diese sind im pdf-Dokument abgebildet.

A rather narrow street in the old part of the city of Madrid is named after José Echegaray. He isn't well known as mathematician but as a dramatist (Nobel Prize in 1904) and politician. The street-sign is built from tiles.

The main building of the national bank of Spain (Banco de España) contains a monument honouring him as well as a painting. Both objects are also shown in the pdf-Dokument.
