Das Grabmal von Werner Schmeidler befindet sich - wie auch die Grabstätten der Mathematiker David Hilbert und Carl Ludwig Siegel - auf dem Stadtfriedhof in der Kasseler Landstraße und dort etwa am Südufers des Teichs. Der Grabstein enthält den Bibelspruch Was Ihr auch tut, so tut alles zu Gottes Ehre aus dem ersten Brief des Paulus an die Korinther, Kapitel 10, Vers 31. Diesem folgen die nachstehenden Angaben:

The grave of Werner Schmeidler can be found on the municipal cemetery in the street named Kasseler Landstraße in the western part of Göttingen. It is located at the southern lakeside. The mathematicians David Hilbert and Carl Ludwig Siegel are also buried on the same cemetery.

The inscription of the grave-stone consists of the citation of the Holy Bible Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31) and the following text translated to English:
