Grave of Alfred Friedrich Clebsch in Göttingen (Germany)

Das Grabmal von Alfred Friedrich Clebsch auf dem Bartholomäus-Friedhof an der Weender Landstraße wurde im Jahr 2006 restauriert (siehe Artmann, B.: Das Grabmal Clebsch ist restauriert, DMV-Nachrichten 14-2/2006 S. 68). Auf diesem Friedhof sind viele bekanntere Persönlichkeiten bestattet (vergleiche die Informationstafeln im südlichen der beiden Mausoleen, sowie die Gräber von Peter Gustav Lejeune Dirichlet, Abraham Gotthelf Kästner und Georg Christoph Lichtenberg). Der Grabstein zeigt ein Porträt in Reliefform (am Ende dieser Seite ein Ausschnitt obigen Bildes) sowie den Text:

Der Sockel besitzt noch die Inschrift Mathematiker.

The grave of Alfred Friedrich Clebsch on the Bartholomäus cemetery at the Weender Landstraße has been restored in 2006 (see Artmann, B.: Das Grabmal Clebsch ist restauriert, DMV-Nachrichten 14-2/2006 S. 68). There are a lot of prominent personages buried on this cemetery (cf. the information tables in the southern one of the two mausoleums, as well as the graves of Peter Gustav Lejeune Dirichlet, Abraham Gotthelf Kästner und Georg Christoph Lichtenberg). The grave-stone shows a portrait (below an extract of the picture above) and the text:

Moreover the base contains the inscription Mathematician.
