Drei Seiten den Domplatzes (Dóm tér) in der südungarischen Stadt Szeged nimmt das Pantheon ein - ein Säulengang, der mit verschiedensten Reliefs, Büsten und Gedenktafeln ausgestattet ist. Unter anderem (vgl. Gedenktafel zu L. Redei und anderen und Gedenktafel zu F. und J. Bolyai sowie Gedenktafel zu J. Vitez) ist die oben abgebildete Gedenktafel zu Frigyes Riesz und Alfred Haar dort zu finden. Sie enthält zwei Porträts in Reliefform, die Namen und jeweils Geburts- und Sterbejahr sowie den nachfolgenden Text (aus dem Ungarischen übersetzt):

Beide Reliefs weisen das Namenskürzel "BM" auf; dabei ist rechts unten neben dem Porträt von F. Riesz der Buchstabe "X" und an gleicher Position beim Porträt von A. Haar der Buchstabe "Y" zu erkennen. Frigyes Riesz gilt als Vater der Funktionalanalysis, und Alfréd Haar hat wesentliche Beiträge zur Approximationstheorie geleistet.

The pantheon in Szeged takes up three faces of the Dóm tér (cathedral place). It is built as a colonnade containing reliefs, busts and commemorative plaques. Among a lot of others (cf. Plaque honouring L. Redei and others and plaque of F. und J. Bolyai as well as plaque related to J. Vitez) the plaque shown above honouring Frigyes Riesz und Alfred Haar can also be found there. It possesses two portraits in form of reliefs, the names and years of births and deaths as well as the following text (translated from Hungarian):

Both reliefs contain the initials "BM". Moreover below on the right from the portrait of F. Riesz the letter "X" appears. At the same position there is the letter "Y" on the relief showing A. Haar. Frigyes Riesz is considered as the father of functional analysis and Alfréd Haar contributed essentially to approximation theory.
