In der heutigen Fußgängerzone der südlichen Altstadt von Ljubljana stand
früher das Gymnasium der Jesuiten, dort wo die Straße Levstikov trg auf
Gorni trg trifft. Das heute noch erhaltene Gebäude ziert ein Relief zu
Jurij
Vega. Darüber ist sein Name angegeben, während man darunter eine Inschrift in
slowenischer Sprache findet, die wie folgt ins Deutsche übersetzt werden kann:
| Jurij Vega (1754 - 1802) war in den Jahren seit 1767 bis 1775 Schüler am Gymnasium der Jesuiten und am Lyzeum im Gebäude welcher an diesem Platz stand. SAZU1), DMFA2) und MOL3) am 250. Jahrestag seiner Geburt. |
Das Foto wurde im März 2012 aufgenommen. Die Übersetzung vom Slowenischen ins Englische wurde von Mihaela Voskobojnik aus Ljubljana unterstützt.

The early Gymnasium (secondary school) of the Jesuits is nowadays located in the
pedestriants area in the southern part of the old part of the city of Ljubljana, exactly
there where the streets Levstikov trg and Gorni trg join. The building is

Vega. His name is provided above the portrait while below there is an inscription in
Slovenian which may be translated to English as follows:
