deutsch Das Nobel-Rondell auf dem Stadtfriedhof in der Kasseler Landstraße befindet sich westlich aber immer noch in der Nähe der Gräber von Carl Ludwig Siegel und Werner Schmeidler. Mit diesem Denkmal werden die Wissenschaftler geehrt, die zur Göttinger Georg-August-Universität in Verbindung stehen oder standen und denen ein Nobelpreis zuerkannt wurde. Von jedem der so Geehrten ist auf einer der Stelen eine Tafel mit dem Namen einem Porträt und einer Beschreibung der Leistungen angebracht.

Ferner enthält eine der Stelen allgemeine Informationen, die nachstehend wiedergegeben werden:

Abschließend seien noch die Nobelpreisträger aufgezählt - die mit einem *-Symbol versehenen Namen weisen darauf hin, dass derjenige (gemäß den Angaben am Ehrenmal) auch Mathematik studiert hat:

english The Nobel Rondel on the municipal cemetery in the western part of Göttingen is located to the West but rather closely to the burial-places of Carl Ludwig Siegel and Werner Schmeidler. This monument honours those scientists who are related to the Georg-August University and wins a Nobel Prize. For any of the notabilities there is a plaque on the top of the columns with a portrait and a description of his achievements.

At the end of the German text above there's a list of the Nobel Prize awardees considered by the monument. The symbol * points out that the scientist also studied mathematics (according to the information provided on the plaques).
